Without any doubt the best means of transportation to Formentera is the bicicle, not only because it is the least polluting but you can reach all parts of the island, roads not even fit for a scooter , for example Formentera green routes are only for walking or cycling. In addition, the main roads are very good and almost all of them have bike lanes.



Another advantage is the parking, if your holiday to Formentera is in in July or August it will be impossible to park a car!



If you ask at the Tourist Office on arrival in Puerto de La Sabina you can check out organized tours available for cyclists. Especially if it is the beginning of your visit and do not know Formentera yet.



But beware, if you choose the bicicle you have to be in shape or at least be used to using one as Formentera is small and the distances are short but it's full of ups and downs and in the sun it can be very unpleasant if you are not used it!

Another option if you do not want to pedal are the electric bikes that are to the same thing but with half the effort.
